“This can’t be what I think it is?”

They should have bagged these body bags.

Parents in the UK were “shocked” after an indoor children’s play center put up Halloween decorations that resembled life-size body bags.

“When I saw them I did a double take – surely it can’t be what I think?” one of the mothers, who chose to remain anonymous, told Sky News as she described the ghastly props in the packed playground.

The macabre display was erected at Rugrats and Halfpints, a children’s activity center in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, which is “committed to providing a safe, clean and stimulating environment”, according to the site.

The facility, where prices range from $7.47 to $15.26 per child, offers a wide range of sensory activities and “soft play,” like a jungle gym.

Unfortunately, the people running the facility apparently didn’t care that much about “Nerfing” the psyche of the young either.

The mother in question walked into the game supplier over the weekend to see several body-sized black plastic bags hanging from one of the game’s structures, as seen in the viral photos.

“When I saw them I did a double take – surely it can’t be what I think?” one of the mothers told Sky News about the body bags (above).

Some were wrapped in tape bearing the words “caution” and “danger,” evoking images straight out of a horror movie.

“The body bags were in the back which cannot be seen from the cafe area, only from the children inside,” said the horrified parent. “I just didn’t want to explain to my child what they were.”

After speaking to other parents, she said they were also “as shocked as I was that it was seen as appropriate”.

A spokesperson for Rugrats, which won the 2022 Trip Advisor Travelers’ Choice Award, has since apologized for the macabre decorations and vowed to remove them as soon as possible.

“This is the first time anyone has brought it to our attention, so of course, because of that, we’re going to take them down immediately,” the rep said. “It was not meant to cause distress and we apologize for how they felt.”

This isn’t the first time someone has gotten into hot water over fake body bags.

In 2021, a woman in the United Kingdom despaired after a misplaced “corpse” led a squad of 10 police officers to surround her home on suspicion of murder.
